![]() ![]() Johnny Blaze on the other hand made his debut in Marvel Spotlight #5 in 1972, created by Roy Thomas, Gary Friedrich, and Mike Ploog. ![]() Previously, Marvel had used the name for a Western character whose name later morphed into Night Rider and Phantom Rider. Unfortunately, the character of Roxanne is completely written out of Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, eliminating the need for a pure female counterpart. Ghost Rider aka Johnny Blaze (and later, Daniel Ketch) is a supernatural anti-hero who made a deal with the devil/ Mephisto to give his soul to save his mentor.
